Houston linebacker Grant Stuard was a nice final pick of the draft for Tampa Bay. He could compete to make their team as a backup that also stars on special teams. Stuard could start out on the practice squad and in time work his way up from there.

The Lions landed a nice seventh-round depth running back in Jermar Jefferson. He could be a solid No. 3 behind D'Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams.

Hill is a seventh-round steal and he fell in the draft because he clashed with coaches at Mississippi State. Hill has a day two skill set as he is a physical runner with receiving ability. This could be a massive steal for the Packers.

In the late rounds, 80-90 percent of these players don't stick in the NFL. A lot of teams will take players the area scouts and assistant coaches like, and they also weigh special teams potential heavily with these picks. Some teams like to take guys that they believe will be tough to sign as undrafted free agents.

I think the Bears seventh-round pick of Khyiris Tonga has a chance at sticking on the roster. He is a heavy nose tackle that can eat up blocks.

I can't believe that Tamorrion Terry and Trevon Grimes are close to going undrafted. They are both mismatch size receivers that had success against good cornerback prospects. I wonder if off the field is sending them down.

Tre Norwood was a fine pick in the 7th round for the Steelers as he has backup potential. Norwood lacks speed and size, but he has solid instincts. He could be a special teams contributor.

Tre Nixon is a nice 7th round pick for the Patriots. He looked poised to have a huge 2020 season before an injury knocked him out. Nixon could be a sleeper that makes the Patriots and finds a way to contribute.

Mark Webb received late-round grades around the league so that is not a reach for the Chargers, but Webb has speed issues for the NFL. He will have to make the team via special teams.

Bengals defensive end Wyatt Hubert was a good college player but I think he will have a hard time sticking in the NFL. Broncos cornerback Kary Vincent should not have sat out last year, and that hurt his draft stock. He could compete to be a nickel corner.

I like the pick of Mike Strachan for the Colts. He is a huge receiver that has surprising speed. He could be a late-round steal. I also like the Jimmy Morrissey pick for the Raiders. He could be a nice backup center that improves into competing for playing time.

Israel Mukuamu is a nice sixth round pick for the Cowboys. He is massive corner with great height, but he should maybe move to safety in the NFL. He fits playing press man but struggles in off man. Mukuamu could develop as a backup or on the practice squad.

Trey Smith is a great pick for the Chiefs late in the sixth round. Smith is tough, strong, big, and athletic. He slid in the draft because of medical concerns with his pulmonary issue. This could be a steal for Kansas City.

Khalil Herbert is a nice backup running back candidate for the Bears. He could be a solid No. 2 to help keep David Montgomery fresh. Sam Ehlinger has the potential to become a decent backup quarterback for the Colts. Ehlinger has to develop his pocket passing and working through progressions, but he has potential for the Colts staff to work with.

Damar Hamlin could be a steal for the Bills in the sixth round. He was all over the field for Pitt last year. He is a good coverage safety and attacks in the ground game. He's just undersized for the NFL. Hence he might be a backup and teams player that ends up being a nice value in the sixth.

The Jets add some defensive line depth with Arkansas defensive tackle Jonathan Marshall. He could rotate and keep their starters fresh. Seattle added a swing tackle backup in Stone Forsythe. He was steady in 2020 protecting Gators QB Kyle Trask. Forsythe could also kick inside to guard.

Racy McMath gives the Titans a backup receiver with some ability to contribute on special teams. Saints pick of Landon Young was a nice move. He has swing tackle backup potential and could kick inside to guard. He is strong, tough, and great character. But he has limitations in quickness and athleticism.

Stevenson is a good pick for the Bills and he is a fast receiver that can stretch defenses vertically. He is a poor man Marquise Brown and is a good replacement for John Brown. Shi Smith was a nice pick for the Panthers as competitor to be a slot receiver.

Brandin Echols was a good pick by the Jets. Tough corner that competes and could be a core special teams player. Rodarius Williams was a steal for the Giants. The Chargers added a potential backup in Nick Niemann but I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up not making the team. Hamsah Nasirildeen is a worthy risk for the Jets. He is a big safety that has talent but some teams flunked him medically.

Patriots get a solid special teams player in Michigan linebacker Cameron McGrone. I don't see him becoming a starter, but could stick as a backup. The Packers taking App State corner Shemar Jean-Charles is a solid zone corner with ball skills. But I'm not sure of his scheme fit in Green Bay. However I think he has backup potential.

The Rams pick of Earnest Brown is a solid backup defensive lineman from Northwestern. Jets' corner Jason Pinnock went under the radar in a good secondary but he could be a backup and special teamer. The Bucs pick of K.J. Britt was a nice value late in the fifth. He is tough, big, strong, and could be a good backup for Devin White.

I really like the Tedarrell Slaton pick for the Packers. He is a big, heavy nose tackle that can be a bowling ball at the line. He has to get in better condition to play more snaps. But he is tough nose tackle for a 3-4 defense when he's fresh.

Brendan Jaimes gives the Chargers a backup guard/tackle. He has some upside so he might be a nice depth player. Shaun Wade was a quality selection for the Ravens in the fourth round. Larry Borom gives the Bears some depth on the offensive line and Chicago needs more competition up front. Caden Sterns is a quality pick for the Broncos to give them a backup safety and special teams ability. Sterns looked like he would be a star as a freshman at Texas but things went South as the program struggled under their coaching staff. Sterns could be a nice renovation project for Vic Fangio and his staff.

Cowboys OT Josh Ball is a nice player, but off the field issues with domestic violence really weighed down his stock. Some teams had dropped him off the their board because the character was so bad. We'll see if Dallas can get Ball to take advance of his good skill set.

The Browns pick of Tommy Togiai should provide some depth at defensive tackle for Ohio State. Ian Book was a wasted pick by the Saints. He was a good college QB, but Book will most likely be stuck as a third string quarterback. There were better players available like a cornerback in Rodarius Williams, a running back in Kenny Gainwell, and defensive tackle in Daviyon Nixon.

Tylan Wallace is a competitive receiver that runs quality routes and has good hands. He lacks a defining trait in terms of size or speed to be a real mismatch weapon. Wallace was also flunked medically by some teams.

The Colts pick of Kylin Granson is an interesting. He was a sleeper tight end as an undersized receiving player. He is like a poor man's Jordan Reed that has to get better at blocking and catching the ball.

John Bates is a solid backup tight end pick for Washington. He could be a blocking tight end that contributes some as a receiver. Camryn Bynum is a smooth defensive back that can play press man and is a good candidate to move to safety. He could be a backup and special teams contributor as he develops at safety.

I'm not a big fan of the Chargers pick of Chris Rumph. He looked like just a guy to me. At 6-2, 244 Rumph is undersized as an edge rusher. He is quick but I think he is going to have problems getting off blocks in the NFL.

The Derrick Barnes pick made sense for the Lions as they were weak at linebacker. He is tough, physical, and a violent tackler. I wonder if he has the speed to cover in the NFL, but he could at least be a good rotational linebacker to stuff the run.

Browning was a good pick by the Broncos as he gives them some linebacker depth. He was played out of position at Ohio State as an inside linebacker, but Browning really should be a 3-4 outside linebacker rushing off the edge. He could do that for Vic Fangio and might be a steal for Denver.

Anthony Schwartz makes sense for Cleveland as they needed some receiver depth. Schwartz is fast and a threat to score on any reception. Most likely, Odell Beckham and/or Jarvis Landry will be off the team before long so it makes sense to bolster the position in a deep draft for receiver talent.

The Texans pick of Nico Collins makes sense as Houston needs some long-term options at receiver. Brandin Cooks is a disappointment at a variety of teams. Randall Cobb was a terrible signing by Bill O'Brien and obviously O'Brien was a fool for trading DeAndre Hopkins. Will Fuller also left in free agency. Collins gives them a receiver with some size.

I missed comment on the Packers pick of Amari Rodgers. He is a nice slot receiver but has some limitations. Rodgers could be shifty weapon in the middle of the field. Aaron Robinson was a great pick by the Giants. They needed a third corner to go with James Bradberry and Adoree Jackson. Robinson is fast, athletic, and an excellent cover corner. Mills has a good skill set with size and arm talent. However he lacks experience and needs development. If Deshaun Watson gets traded later in 2021 or in 2022, Mills might develop into being a starter. He should have gone back to school to gain more experience before going pro.

Mond makes sense as the Kubiak family running the Vikings offense has a lot of ties to Texas A&M. Mond is smart, athletic, has a good arm, and can run. However he is not consistent with his accuracy and can be robotic with his delivery. He will be an interesting project for Minnesota.

Good pick for the Jaguars. They needed more safety talent and Cisco would have been a first-round pick if he hadn't been injured last year. He is a ballhawk with great instincts. He could be a steal in the third round.

Trask is a good pick for the Bucs. Tampa Bay has a loaded roster without needs so they can get an understudy for Tom Brady. Trask is accurate, tough in the pocket, sees the field well, and has excellent pocket presence. He lacks mobility and Trask can learn pocket manipulation from Brady. Interesting pick for the Buccaneers in the short-term and long-term.

Humphrey is a solid center for the Chiefs. He is smart, tough, and has good technique. Not a great athlete or overly strong, but safe to be a solid center in the NFL. Quality pick as a late 2.

Basham is an interesting pick for the Bills. He is strong and quick with legit edge rush ability. He also can slide inside to tackle in the sub package. Buffalo is really loading up on defensive ends with Basham, Gregory Rousseau, and A.J. Epenesa last year.

I'm not a fan of the Pete Werner pick for the Saints. He was a solid linebacker Ohio State but they could have had him in the third round. Werner may not become a three down starter as I think he could have coverage issues in the NFL.

I'm surprised the Panthers took Terrace Marshall. I like him as he is tall, fast, and a dangerous receiver downfield. They needed some depth after losing Curtis Samuel. But I think they should have taken a potential left tackle like Spencer Brown or Jalen Mayfield.

I like Tutu Atwell as a player, but to me this was a bad pick for the Rams. They already were loaded at receiver with Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, DeSean Jackson, and Van Jefferson. Atwell is a lightning bolt with amazing speed, but he is very small. I think the Rams should have addressed the OL or defensive front seven.

Pat Freiermuth is a solid but unimpressive tight end. He will have issues getting open in the NFL, but could be a solid tight end. Freiermuth doesn't make sense considering the needs on the Steelers offensive line and there being some good prospects available like Spencer Brown and Trey Smith.

Odeyingbo could be a steal for the Colts. He is fast, strong, with great length and athleticism. Odeyingbo is 6-6, 280 and he could grow into being a three technique DT. The Colts could end up with a tremendous DL with DeForest Buckner, Kwity Paye, and now Odeyingbo.

Radunz makes sense for the Titans as they needed a RT after the Isaiah Wilson catastrophe. Radunz is a good athlete that is physical and gets after it. He needs to get stronger, and is coming from a smaller level of competition. So he will need some developmental time.

I like the Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah pick for the Browns. He is a fast run chase linebacker that is very good in pass coverage. He will be a good asset in defending the mobile QBs in the AFC North as he will be a valuable QB spy on Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow.

Walker Little is a risky pick for the Jags. He had injury issues and missed 2019 before skipping the 2020 season. Little is massive with power and athleticism. He is going to need some development but could end up becoming a starting OT in a year or two.

Eichenberg is a good pick for the Dolphins to help bolster their offensive line. He could form a nice tackle tandem with Austin Jackson or kick inside to guard to replace Ereck Flowers with Robert Hunt playing RT. Either way, this gives Miami more talent and options for supporting Tua Tagovailoa.

Richie Grant is a hard hitter and a ball hawk. He is a really dangerous defender in the middle of the field that will defend the run and finds away to make big plays in coverage. Atlanta got tougher and more versatile in the middle of the field with the addition of Grant. That's another good pick for their new front office and coaching staff.

The Bears got more talent for their offensive line with Teven Jenkins. Chicago needed help up front and Jenkins has the ability to play guard or right tackle. Jenkins is a good athlete with quickness and size. Some teams were worried about his mental toughness but loved the skill set.

I had the Dolphins taking Trevon Moehrig here for a while so I'm not surprised they drafted a safety. I liked Holland more than Moehrig as Holland is fast, a ball hawk, can play nickel corner, free safety, and is dynamite on special teams. This was a good pick for Miami.

Campbell was a good pick for the Jaguars as he has a first-round skill set. He is big, fast, long, and athletic. Excellent to run the route and prevent separation, Campbell struggles with tracking the ball and playing it in the air. He gives the Jags a trio of talented corners with size and speed.

Joe Tryon makes a ton of sense for Tampa Bay. He has a good skill set with size and speed, but is raw and needs development. Tryon will be a good rotational edge rusher to go with Jason Pierre-Paul and Shaq Barrett. Tryon can rotate and help keep the veterans fresh for the fourth quarter and help them to avoid injury. Tryon could develop into the long-term replacement for JPP.

I have mixed feelings on the pick of Gregory Rousseau by the Bills. On the plus side, the Buffalo staff is great at developing players and he could give them a big end tandem with A.J. Epenesa. On the negative side, Rousseau was very overrated as he lacked speed and explosion as a rusher. He needs development to become a power player.

Stokes is a good pick by the Packers. He can be a nickel with Kevin King and Jaire Alexander and in a year Stokes can be the replacement for King. Stokes is a good man cover cover to run the route and prevent separation. Stokes is fast and athletic. He could be a dynamic tandem with Alexander.

Rashod Bateman is a nice pick for the Ravens. He gives them a plug-and-play upgrade across from Marquise Brown. However I think passing on an edge rusher or OT in the first round could be dangerous as they lost Orlando Brown, Matt Judon, and Yannick Ngakoue. The edges on both sides of their lines are looking vulnerable.

The Browns took a nice cornerback in Greg Newsome. He was tough, physical, and a capable cover corner for the Wildcats. If Newsome did not have so many injury issues, he would have been a top-20 pick. If Newsome can stay healthy, which he never could in college, that will make him a good value for Cleveland.

Travis Etienne is a great pick for the Jaguars. It gives Trevor Lawrence one of his weapons from college and his check down security blanket. Urban Meyer always wants some speed in the backfield and Etienne is a fast running back that is a threat to rip off a long run on any carry. He is a dangerous receiver and I think this is a great pick for Jacksonville.

Text I just got from a scout, "12 correct out of 24 picks with six correct position wrong player. You're on fire! Cooking with gasoline baby!" Lol

I had the Steelers taking Najee Harris in my final mock. I'm up to 12 correct with six picks of correct position but wrong player.

Najee Harris is a great fit in the Steelers offense. He can be the hard charger in the ground game that also is capable of contributing as a receiver. Harris is physical and tough that can break tackles while also serving as a pass receiver. Harris also blocked well in 2020. He will help Big Ben and the Steelers are in win-now mode.

I had Darrisaw to the Vikings because he is just the type of athletic and fast OL that they like to take. Minnesota needed a left tackle and Darrisaw will fill in for Riley Reiff. Darrisaw is fast, athletic, and long. However he is not physical and is finesse. Darrisaw does not block with urgency and lacks physicality. However that is not a big issue in the Vikings blocking scheme.

Caleb Farley was a steal for the Titans if he can stay healthy. He has excellent speed, athleticism, and coverage ability to run the route and prevent separation. Farley slid because of multiple back surgeries and other injuries, but if he has a top-10 skill set.

So far I have list of six teams where I had them taking the right position but wrong player: Dolphins (18), Colts, Washington, Bears, Giants, and Chargers. That's bittersweet as a mocker. You project the team well but not the right player is frustrating.

Paye was a nice pick for the Colts. He gives them a fast and explosive edge rusher to go next to DeForest Buckner. Paye is fast, big, and has a ton of upside.

Toney is an explosive playmaker that is fabulous after the catch. He is fast and can separate from coverage while making a lot of big plays once he makes the reception. Toney will help the Giants give Daniel Jones a lot more weapons with Kenny Golladay also coming aboard this offseason.

Jamin Davis is an excellent pick for Washington. He is a fast, physical, heat seeking missile on the football field. Davis was superb last year as a run chase run defender and looked very good dropping into coverage. Davis could be turned into a star by Ron Rivera behind their great defensive line.

Jaelan Phillips was an excellent pick for the Dolphins. He could be a dynamic edge rusher as he is fast, explosive, strong against the run, and a dangerous pass rusher. Phillips would have been a top-10 pick in 2022 if he had gone back to school and produced another big year. He has a top-10 skill set.

So far my mock is holding up very well. 10 picks correct out of 17. The back half of the first round was very tough to predict, but 10 correct is a good number by itself for a total. Walt's mock has been excellent as well. Another good year for Walter Football!!

Leatherwood was an excellent pick for the Raiders. He gives them a plug-and-play starter at RT. Leatherwood is big, athletic, and quick pass protector that will help keep Derek Carr clean. Leatherwood will be a steady presence after Trent Brown couldn't stay healthy.

Jones is a great fit in the New England system and being a part of the Patriot way. Jones can back up Cam Newton for a time and then replace Newton when Jones is ready. Jones is accurate, smart, a good decision maker, and has a quality arm. He makes sense for the Patriots.

I don't think Slater is as good as the media hypes him up to be. I know some teams that had him as a late first and some had him early second because they believe he is a guard and doesn't have the height or length for LT. Slater being 6-3 with 33 inch arms and that is very undersized for a pro LT. Alijah Vera-Tucker would have been a better pick.

The Memphis game, the bowl game to end the 2019 season, was Parsons best game by far. I'm not surprised that the Cowboys took Parsons as Jaylon Smith really struggled in 2020 and Leighton Vander Esch has injury issues.

I'm not a fan of Micah Parsons. I think he was an overrated prospect. He is a clean air guy that is not physical taking on blocks or making a lot of tackles in the ground game. Parsons best trait is blitzing off the edge and I think his best fit would have been as a 3-4 OLB like Von Miller.

Fields is a good pick for Chicago. I think he is the second best quarterback in the draft and has immense upside. Fields has a good arm, dynamic running ability, and a ton of potential once he develops more pocket presence. With Andy Dalton there, the Bears can develop Fields and not have to force him onto the field too early. I like this pick for the Bears.

Smith is an upgrade for the Eagles and Howie Roseman needs Jalen Hurts to save his job. Smith is an amazing route-runner, has fabulous hands, the speed to separate, and is a threat to score on any play. He's an impact impact contributor for Philly.

First trade of the night! Shocking that it was with NFC east rivals. Teams dealing within the division is very rare, but with the Cowboys missing out on the cornerbacks it makes sense to drop down.

I think Patrick Surtain is a solid pick for the Broncos but I would have taken Justin Fields. I think it was a big mistake to pass on Fields given the Denver quarterback situation. Surtain is a tough, physical cornerback that fits well in the Vic Fangio defense.

The Lions made a great pick in Penei Sewell. He gives Detroit the makings of one of the best offensive lines in the NFL. Sewell and Taylor Decker are fabulous book ends to protect Jared Goff. Sewell will also help invigorate the ground game with D'Andre Swift. Great start for new Lions general manager Brad Holmes.

Waddle gives them a playmaker to help Tua Tagovailoa. Tagovailoa throws a good deep ball and Waddle has game breaking speed. He could be a big play weapon similar to Tyreek Hill in the NFL. Tua now has a dangerous and versatile trio with DeVante Parker, Will Fuller, and Waddle.

Chase is a fine pick for Cincinnati. They reunite him with Joe Burrow and Chase gives the Bengals a long-term No. 1 receiver to replace A.J. Green. Chase is like a better version of Amari Cooper. Chase has good speed, size, route-running, and is a playmaker. Cincinnati can grab offensive line help on day two.

Zach Wilson has a great skill set, and he could be a great scene fit in the Jets new offense. Similar to Jacksonville, New York GM Joe Douglas has to build up the team well around Wilson. The Jets need to improve their offensive line, get cornerback help, more receiving talent, cornerback upgrades, and difference maker at running back.

Stephen Sullivan was a steal for the Seahawks in the seventh round. He is big, fast, and athletic with the ability to be a dangerous receiving tight end. So why did he slip to the 7th round in a bad TE class? He has issues learning the playbook so teams dropped him deep into day three. If the Seahawks are patient and get him to be assignment sound, he could be a huge steal.

I think Rams wasted a pick on Tremayne Anchrum. After seeing him at the Senior Bowl, I don't think Anchrum has the skill set to play in the NFL. He could use a year on the practice squad.

Nate Stanley is a worthy seventh-round pick for the Vikings. They could use more backup QB talent and Stanley has the skill set to play in the NFL. He will benefit learning from Gary Kubiak and could develop into a No.2.

The Saints traded back into the draft after being out of picks to take QB Tommy Stevens. That's an interesting pick for Sean Payton to make. He obviously wants to work with Stevens and the Saints did not want to risk him getting drafted or losing him in the undrafted free agency portion. It will be interesting to see the plan New Orleans has for Stevens.

Casey Toohill was an interesting seventh-round pick for Philadelphia. He was a dangerous pass rusher for Stanford last year and played tough for the Cardinal. Seeing him at East-West Shrine, Toohill needs to gain strength for the NFL. He could use a year on the practice squad but in a year or two this could be a nice payoff for the Eagles.

The Steelers pick of Carlos Davis here in the 7th round was a solid pick for the end of the draft. He could make the roster as a backup nose tackle and is a worthy seventh-rounder. A year on the practice squad could benefit Davis.

Cole McDonald could make the Titans as a third-string backup, so in the seventh round that's not a bad pick. The Vikings added a nice pick in the 7th with Michigan State edge rusher Kenny Willekes. He could be a good competitor as a situational edge rusher.

The Cardinals add a backup running back in Eno Benjamin. Benjamin does not have the size to be a three down starter. But he showed receiving skill and versatility at Arizona State, so I like this pick to be a backup running back for the Cardinals.

The Chargers made an excellent pick with Ohio State wide receiver K.J. Hill. He could have been a mid-rounder and Hill was a really good player for the Buckeyes. He's a polished route-runner with hands. I think he will make the roster and could end up being a contributor for Los Angeles.

Starting the seventh round, Markus Bailey is a nice selection for Cincinnati. Adding more linebacker talent and special teams depth. I did not like Kamren Curl as a mid-rounder like some projected, but the Redskins needed some safety depth so in the 7th round Curl is not a bad pick.

The Colts selection of Isaiah Rodgers is a backup cornerback and special teams competitor. He might need development on the practice squad. Indianapolis follows it up with receiver depth in Dezmon Patton. He was a productive college player that could end up being a fourth or fifth receiver in the NFL.

The Packers continued to upgrade their offensive line depth with Simon Stepaniak and he could compete at guard or tackle. The Eagles got a potential steal in Auburn OT Prince Tega Wanogho. He slide because of character concerns, but team sources and area scouts say that Wanogho is just as physically talent as tackles like Andrew Thomas and Jedrick Wills. Here's a scouting report on Wanogho: https://walterfootball.com/scoutingreport2020pwanogho.php

I like the Bills pick of wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins. He has some ability to get downfield with athletic upside. He could benefit learning from Stefan Diggs and John Brown. After a year on the practice squad, Hodgins might be ready to compete for Buffalo. The Packers got a nice backup center in Jake Hanson. He was a tough and steady blocker for Oregon over the past few years with a lot of experience. He could be a competent backup for Green Bay.

The Patriots get some backup linebacker help with Caash Maluia. It makes sense for New England to stock that position with competition after their veteran free agent loses. Josh Metellus is a nice depth pick for the Vikings. Metellus was a solid run defender for Michigan but has issues in pass coverage. He will have to make the squad on special teams. The Jaguars needed some tight end depth so Tyler Davis makes sense. LSU tight end Stephen Sullivan is available and a better player, but Sullivan has playbook issues so perhaps that was why they went with Davis instead.

Evan Weaver was a tackling machine for Cal and very productive in college. The Cardinals get a backup run stuffing linebacker, but Weaver has limitations in pass coverage. Hence he slid to the sixth round. The Vikings drafted a backup guard in Blake Brendel. Minnesota has done a nice job of adding offensive linemen in this draft that fit Gary Kubiak's scheme.

I like the Eagles pick of Quez Watkins. He haas some serious speed and it would not surprise me if he is a sleeper steal. Baltimore follows suit with James Proche. He was dangerous weapon at SMU and he could be a contributor for the Ravens as a backup receiver.

Pittsburgh added a versatile backup with linebacker/safety Antoine Brooks. He could backup strong safety on run downs and linebacker in pass situations. Brooks has to star on special teams to make the team. Jordan Fuller was a nice late-round pick for the Rams. He was a steady contributor for Ohio State and is a quality run defender. Fuller has limitations in pass coverage for the NFL, but he could be quality backup safety that helps on special teams.

Eagles pick of Shaun Bradley provides more linebacker depth, not a bad pick in the sixth round. The Lions followed suit with John @#$@ini. Detroit could use more competition at linebacker but they loaded up on veterans so @#$@ini might need a year on the practice squad before breaking in.

Khalil Davis is a worthy late-round pick for the Bucs. He can rotate at nose tackle with Ndamukong Suh and help keep the veteran fresh. The Patriots added Justin Hurron and he could provide some depth at tackle and guard. That's good value for New England in the sixth round.

The Jaguars got a nice sleeper quarterback in Jake Luton. The Oregon State product has big size and played really well last year. He could be a good backup for Gardner Minshew and wouldn't surprise me if he pushes Minshew some considering Luton has the better skill set.

I'm not a fan of Michigan wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones or the Browns drafting him. He has a good skill set but he never played up to it. I'm not in favor of drafting a kicker so I don't like the Tyler Bass selection by Buffalo. However, the Bills play in a unique environment with windy, cold, snowy conditions late in the season so I give them more of a pass. Bass has a booming leg that can blast the ball through the elements.

The Giants pick of Cam Brown is an okay pick at this point in the draft. He can backup at a few positions and contribute on special teams. I'm not a big fan of Carolina's pick of Bravvion Roy. He's a limited backup nose tackle and I don't see him seeing the field behind Derrick Brown. The Panthers could have drafted a starting tackle of the future with Prince Tega Wanogho or Trey Adams. They both have issues but starting skill sets.

The Bengals took a nice sixth round developmental backup in Hakeem Adeniji. Adeniji is a good athlete but lacks strength. He could benefit from a year in an NFL strength and conditioning program, but Adeniji could end up growing into being a pro contributor. Denver's pick of Netane Muti is similar. Muti is a tough run blocker but he needs to improve in pass pro before seeing the field. He may need a year developing on the practice squad.

The Cowboys taking Bradley Anae is an interesting pick. Dallas needed more edge rush and Anae was productive at Utah. He lacks size and speed for the NFL, but perhaps he could overachieve like he did in college and carve out a role as a situational pass rusher.

K.J. Osborn is a decent backup receiver candidate that also could compete on special teams for Minnesota. Mike Danna could make stick as a backup defensive lineman for the Chiefs. He had a solid week at the East-West Shrine. Justin Strnad is a nice backup for Denver as he could have gone earlier. He has quality skill set and played well last year. This is a good depth pick for the Broncos.

The Bears needed some receiver depth so Darnell Mooney makes sense for Chicago. Tennessee grabs a nice rotational interior pass rusher in Larrell Murchison. He got after the quarterback well for N.C. State. He could be a good backup and contributor when he rotates into the game. But Murchison is probably not big enough to be a three down starter. Kamal Martin is a decent backup linebacker for Green Bay. He could be special teams contributor that chips in on defense.

The Texans added a speed receiver in Isaiah Coulter. It makes sense for Houston to get him and develop him for a year. Kenny Stills and Will Fuller are in the last year of their contracts. Detroit added a backup running back in Jason Huntley. He will have to make it as a special teams contributor as Huntley won't take carries away from D'Andre Swift or Kerryon Johnson.

Last comment on Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm. Obviously, made a big mistake leaving college early. Fromm should have returned to school to improve before going pro. He had a rough stretch as a junior where his accuracy faded and his lack of arm strength became more problematic. Georgia has better receiving talent coming back next year so he would have been better off going there and playing at the Senior Bowl before going pro.

Vikings added more cornerback depth with Harrison Hand. Minnesota lost a lot of veterans at the position so it makes sense to build up the competition with the Temple product The Baltimore Ravens took some defensive line depth with Broderick Washington. He has a skill set to develop and could be a good project for Baltimore.

I like the Bills pick of Jake Fromm in the fifth round. Fromm could be a good backup for Josh Allen. A key to being a good backup is being smart player that can execute without a lot of practice reps. Fromm is intelligent and hard working so I think he will be a nice backup for Buffalo. The only flaw, is Fromm's lack of arm strength is a huge drop off from Josh Allen. So if Fromm comes in the game they will need to adjust the offense for some shorter routes with quick passing that has the ball getting out early on shorter drops. Overall though this is a solid selection by the Bills.

I'm not a fan of the Jaguars pick of Collin Johnson. He is a big receiver that runs pretty well, but he plays much smaller. Johnson should be a bully and push defenders around as he is about 6-5, 220, but he plays finesse. I think in the NFL he is going to pass the eyeball test but defenders will out compete him.

The Dolphins grab a situational edge rusher in Curtis Weaver. The media had overhyped him but I had him as a mid-rounder because I knew teams had concerns about him translating for the NFL. Weaver has limitations in size and speed, but he is a try hard player that overachieves.

I like the Browns pick of Washington center Nick Harris. He is really tough and physical at the point of attack. Bryce Hall had a bigger reputation than his play so I'm not surprised he slid to the fifth round. Hall is stiff and struggles to turn and run (see Florida State tape from last year). He could be a candidate to move to safety as Hall is tough and physical.

The 49ers traded Matt Breida to Miami for a fifth-round pick. Good trade for the Dolphins as Breida is a dangerous back with speed. I think he could be a good value for Miami. San Francisco took Colton McKivitz and that makes sense as some tackle depth behind Trent Williams. Williams has had health issues so it makes sense to make sure you have a backup you like for the 49ers.

Jack Driscoll was a solid pick for the Eagles to give them some tackle depth. With Jason Peters moving on, Philadelphia pushes Andre Dillard into a starting role and Driscoll can fill in as the swing tackle backup behind Lane Johnson and Dillard. The second pick by Philadelphia to close out the fourth round was traded to Dallas. The Cowboys got a steal in Wisconsin center Tyler Biadasz. Shaq Quarterman is a backup linebacker for the Jaguars. He started out hot before being a solid but not special starter for Miami. Quarterman needs to help on special teams. The Texans pick of John Reid should provide some depth for their secondary. It might be difficult for Reid to make the team though with Roby, Hargreaves, Conley, and Lonnie Johnson locked in. That means there's only one roster spot left, so Reid will be in store for a tough fight.

L'Jarius Snead is a sleeper cornerback that could be a steal for the Chiefs. He has a good skill set but needs to develop more consistent technique. Robertson has a nice skill set for Las Vegas to work with.

The Steelers always seem to need offensive line depth so taking Kevin Dotson makes some sense. Pittsburgh does a solid job of coaching up their backups and Dotson could continue that trend. Brycen Hopkins provides some quality depth for the Rams at tight end. He probably can't develop into a three down starter because of blocking NFL edge defenders, but Hopkins could be a decent backup.

The Jets get some quality offensive line depth with Cameron Clark. Clark could help backup guard or right tackle for New York and this continues to improve their blocking front with quality depth that has starting potential. The Vikings pick of James Lynch is interesting. He is a tweener end/tackle that could play end on run downs and move inside to rush in passing situations.

The Eagles pick of K'Von Wallace is a solid selection for a backup safety and special teams contributor. The Jets made a nice pick with Florida RB Lamical Perine. New York gets a good backup running back as Perine was a really tough runner for the Gators with clutch plays. A bad OL hurt him as a senior, but he contributed well las a receiver. In his junior year he ran really well with a more experienced line. Perine is a pure football player that finds a way to be effective as a runner, receiver, and is a good pass protector.

I missed D.J. Wonnum pick. He is a nice situational pass rusher and he could develop into a nice selection that contributes. Mykal Walker was a solid backup linebacker for Atlanta. He could backup at inside and outside, so that is a nice selection for the Falcons to have some depth behind their undersized starters.

The Broncos get another weapon for Drew Lock with Missouri tight end Albert Okwuegbunam. Albert O is a phenomenal receiver down the seam with excellent speed and size. His skill set is first or second round caliber, but his personal make up caused him to slide. If he becomes a pro, this could be a massive steal for Denver.

The Cardinals pick of Leki Fotu is run stuffing nose tackle. He is limited as a pass rusher so he will probably get pulled in passing situations. Harrison Bryant is a day three tight end. He could contribute as a receiver, but he will need work as a blocker. Ben Bartch gives the Jaguars some depth on the offensive line. Bartch has good size with athleticism to develop into a potential starter in a year or two.

The Chargers got a good backup and rotational running back in Joshua Kelley. He is a tough runner with power and quickness. The Panthers pick of Troy Pride was a nice selection. He has size and speed, but he needs to get more consistent in coverage. If Pride develops more consistent technique coverage he could be a steal.

Holmes is a nice depth defensive back for the Giants as he provides depth at safety and cornerback. Solomon Kindley was a steal for the Dolphins. If he loses some weight he could be an excellent guard for Miami. He is strong in the run game and steady in pass protection. The weight concerns really hurt Kindley

Washington needed some tackle help with Trent Williams being traded to San Francisco. Saahdiq Charles could come in and compete quickly after his trial by fire in the SEC. John Simpson makes sense as the Raiders needed some interior offensive line depth. Richie Incgognito is aging and Gabe Jackson's contract could prove too price for his level of play.

Trautman could have gone in the second round and some teams had him as their second tight end. He is a just a pure football player with good route running, hands, size, and versatility. This was an excellent pick for the Saints and Trautman could be a weapon in their offense.

Alex Highsmith is a rotational edge rusher that could offer some depth behind TJ Watt and Bud Dupree. Highsmith is quick off the ball and he can turn the corner. For the NFL he needs to add some strength to get off blocks, and that should happen when he spends some time in a pro strength and conditioning program.

I like the Malik Harrison pick by the Ravens. With Harrison and Queen, Baltimore has added two tough inside linebackers that can really fortify the middle of their defense. I really like the Matt Peart pick by the Giants. He has real size with some athleticism and quickness. He needs development, but he could be a starting right tackle. The Giants could come out of this draft with their bookend tackles of Peart and first-rounder Andrew Thomas as their franchise left tackle.

Wow back-to-back wide receivers for the Raiders with Bryan Edwards. Edwards is another sleeper that could be a steal. He was a tough receiver showing route-running, quickness, and a physical gritty play. Las Vegas really changed their receiving corps with Ruggs, Bowden, and Edwards. With Tyrell Williams and Hunter Renfroe, they have a talented five man group.

The Buffalo Bills have done a great job of build a tough hard nosed team under this regime. They have a great scouting staff and Epenesa continues their good value selections. Epenesa is a tough edge setter that can contribute some pass rush. He has stiffness and lacks elite speed, but he could be a good left end to take on right tackles.

I was not a fan of Hurts as a QB for the NFL. He struggles to see the field and he had a lot of problems being a consistent passer during his collage career. Perhaps the Eagles coaching staff can make him more consistent, and given durability issues with Carson Wentz, I can understand why the Eagles would want to address backup quarterback. However I think Philadelphia should have taken another receiver or a cornerback like Cameron Dantzler.

The Cowboys could have taken Diggs in the first round and I wouldn't have been that critical. He should have gone in the 20-32 range.

The Cowboys are having a great draft. CeeDee Lamb was a top 12 talent and Diggs was a first-round talent that some teams had as their third corner. Diggs has some things to clean up, but he is big and fast. He has the potential to be a No.1 corner in the NFL.

Jaylon Johnson is a weird body type for the NFL. He is leggy with thin calfs and needs to get stronger for the next level. He needs some technique development for the NFL. The Bears needed cornerback help but corners were available in Trevon Diggs and Cameron Dantzler.

I thought the Steelers would take a weapon for their offense with this pick but I thought it would be a running back. Instead Claypool gives them a big wide out that is a mismatch weapon to go across from JuJu Smith-Schuster.

Seattle needed an edge rusher to help replace Jadeveon Clowney and Taylor is a good scheme fit. The Seahawks defense allowed a lot of yards and points last year so they're making it a point to bring some youth to their front seven.

Sources say the Seahawks traded up with the Jets to take Tennessee edge rusher Darrell Taylor.

I'm not sure about the Davidson fit by Atlanta. He is a tweener tackle/end after gaining a lot of weight. He could be a base end on run downs that kicks inside in passing situations.
